With a background story as beautiful as the Stallion himself, Gotta Twist It Up is more than just a Champion Reining Stallion, he’s simply something special. 

In the loving hands of breeder, trainer and rider, Sandy Bentien, Ace has graced the dirt of some of the biggest events global Reining has to offer and clocked up $220,000+ LTE. Ace went on to mix it with the big boys running a 225 pb with Abby Lengel in the saddle and Sandy over the gate at the inaugural The Run For A Million Invitational in Las Vegas 2019. He is followed by hordes of adoring fans after being thrust further into the spotlight as one of the stars of Paramount’s ‘The Last Cowboy’. 

There is no doubt, Ace is the whole package: looks, athleticism, pedigree, conformation, heart and disposition all wrapped in a gorgeous buckskin colour. He is a strong horse with large bone and big hooves. Triple registered both AQHA(USA), APHA(USA) & AQHA(Aust.) and 6 panel clean. Ace stands 15.1 hands and is pushing 550kg of lean muscle. 

Embodying the style todays Reiner’s love and it’s all natural. He is a gorgeous mover and frequently shows plus 1.5 stops. And why wouldn’t he? Dad is none other than Spooks Gotta Whiz, an NRHA $2m Sire who has amassed over $350k in LTE and includes representing the USA at WEG with Shawn Flarida amongst his many accomplishments. Ace is recognised as one of the biggest and most effortless stopping stallions on the circuit. 

Noteworthy is Ace’s incredible disposition. It shone in 2020, when he took both Sandy and Abby to the NRHA Non Pro and Open finals respectively. A phenomenonal achievement.

Ace was bred by Sandy & Dale Bentien, who own his famous Dam, Make It With A Twist (Dun It With A Twist [Hollywood Dun It]). Sandy, as a Non Pro has done 95% of his training. The Bentien's had no intention of keeping a stallion but because of Ace's great mind, they made an exception, and are now in the business of standing a stallion at stud rather than just breeding and foaling mares. Ace’s first foal crop arrived in 2019 and we are ecstatic with these results! 

Ace has earned $220,000 + in NRHA events and this will continue to grow as he enters the show pen in 2020 for his last Derby year, being shown in both the Open and Non Pro Aged major Derby events.
